About Clinical MyotherapyMyotherapy can be used to treat a wide range of disorders.
|
Clinical Myotherapy is the specialised treatment and rehabilitation of muscle and joint disorders. |
What can a Myotherapist treat?
Myotherapy is 100% drug free, natural and is a proven discipline. It reduces your symptoms, but more importantly, address’s your condition specifically.
A Myotherapist can effectively treat any
condition that has a soft tissue component to it. Some common conditions are: |
· Muscular pain/Myofascial pain Syndrome
· Carpel Tunnel Syndrome · De Quervain’s/Tenosynovitis · Fibromyalgia · Headaches & Migraines · Whiplash · Shin Splints · RSI · Inflammatory Conditions/ Bursitis |
· Referred pain
· Joint pain · Postural dysfunction · Back pain · Sprains/Ligament damage · Strains/Tendon damage · Sports injuries & rehabilitation · Sciatica · Plantar Fasciitis · Frozen shoulder · Tennis/Golfer’s Elbow |
How does it work?
Myotherapy is founded on the western medical knowledge of anatomy & physiology, biomechanics & kinesiology, manual therapies, and the pathology of soft tissues. Myotherapy works on a number of methods:
Improving local blood flow to damaged tissues allowing them to heal, and removes toxins to reduce pain.
|
Releases tension from shortened muscles and tendons which decreases pain and improves function by ensuring that muscles contract correctly to stabilise joints and provide maximum strength.
|
Realigning joints ensures that full range is provided to the limb and decreases the risk of further injury.

ALYSON ROLLS
Remedial Massage Therapist
Who I am
I have practiced Remedial Massage since 2016 after being drawn to it from a young age. I learnt that suffering is a choice, after experiencing the challenges of an autoimmune disease and scoliosis, and the amazing healing effects massage can have on conditions that affect our health. Being involved in various sports, such as running and hockey as a young adult, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and pole dancing later in adulthood gives me a great understanding of the different demands placed upon the body and how massage can provide relief from these demands. |
My Style of Massage
My style is intuitive, nurturing and compassionate. A whole-body approach (mind, body, spirit) A touch that calms the nervous system and allows your muscles and body to respond and relax. I offer both relaxation and remedial massage. Benefits of my Massage My massages are designed to have an immediate effect on the parasympathetic nervous system which allows your muscles, body and mind to become calm and relaxed. My unique Approach I don't believe a massage needs to be painful to have a positive effect on your body. My aim is to have your muscles relax under my touch; to listen, understand and allow your body to respond and heal. To take an hour out of your day for me to help you forget about the stress and pressures of life, and to assist you with your soft tissue limitations. |
